Jorge Viera Resume
Jorge Viera is one of the most popular news reporters for the Telemundo Network in Los Angeles. His professionalism and talent has allowed him to move up the ranks as a journalist soon after arriving to California, making him an elite member of the well-respected newscast.
His extensive knowledge of sports, his poise, and charisma in front of the camera made it possible for Jorge to become a co-host for the Telemundo Network Sports Show "Tiempo Extra", which broadcasted nationally and internationally reaching major cities in Mexico and Central America.
His professional background began in 1990 as a radio disk jockey in Miami. At the same time, he began a brief modeling career that landed him a few television commercials representing major companies such as Gatorade, Nike, and Presidente Beer among others. In the month of April 1995, Jorge became a co-host for the internationally known program "Sabado Gigante" alongside the very popular Latino host "Don Francisco". Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles in order to integrate himself to the Telemundo News team. And it was a member of this team, that Jorge covered perhaps the bloodiest, deadliest and most violent ever "Caught-On-Tape" news event in recent years, the North Hollywood Bank shootout.
